Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees return to terrorize the teenage population. Except this time, they're out to get each other, too.The opening scene is just great film making using the furnace and fire to represent the anger and hatred that is within Freddy and the doll that he throws in represents his victims , which so happens to be the child. Freddy vs Jason starts with a narration of Freddy krueger explaining his inspiration for kidnapping and murdering of children. while the narration is in the back ground, what the viewer can see is a close up on krueger as he sharpens his fingered blades the changes into the little girl in a low angle shot to make her seem more vulnerable and scared. The pure brilliance of the opening scene comes right after when the doll melts in the furnace as the little, vulnerable, scared girl screams! this hooks the audience completely due to the fear in the girl, it makes the audience feel the same fear the girl is feeling and makes them feel like they are in danger!
